Sancerre Rosé - 2022 - Paul Fouassier
Domaine Fouassier
Beautiful nose carried by notes of red fruits first, then mineral notes, notes of citrus and smoke... Palate: frank and fruity, with beautiful acidity, and a finish marked by grapefruit aromas.

This cuvée is 100% Pinot Noir from 30-year-old vines, farmed organically and biodynamically since 2011. It's a blend of parcels located on a plateau and hillsides with limestone soils. Hand-harvested with yields around 35 hl/ha. Vinification: direct pressing, short fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks. Light sulfiting before bottling at the Domaine, with all cellar work done following the biodynamic calendar.
Paul Fouassier
Paul Fouassier, who earned his viticulture and oenology degree in 1998, worked in several leading Bordeaux châteaux (Pavie and Angelus among others) before returning to his large family estate in 2001. The estate holds 60 hectares, 50 ha of Sauvignon and 10 ha of Pinot, which he manages with his cousin Benoît. The duo represents the 10th generation, drawing the best from the rigour of Benoît...
