Blend of 70% Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc from vines that are 40 years old on average, grown organically. The Sauvignon is planted in the Gers on clay-limestone soils and the Cabernet Franc in Montlouis-sur-Loire-sur-Loire on clay-siliceous soils. Manual harvesting in small crates and natural vinification. 3 days of maceration for the Sauvignon, direct pressing for the Cabernet. Blending of the juices, vinification and aging for 3/4 in vats and 1/4 in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled at the Estate in February 2023.
Frantz Saumon
Frantz Saumon is one of those winemakers who are already well established on their terroir, but who actually arrived in the wine world by chance... Originally from Berry, this former forester who worked in Canada gave up everything to devote himself to his passion. This is the 90's... what a long way we have come! At this time, Frantz follows the very famous oenological formation of Amboise....
