A white wine like you rarely get to taste, and even less so at this price: ultra-expressive, charming nose of peach, mango, orange zest, and floral hints... Well-balanced palate with excellent volume and fine acidity. Now that's some sexy stuff!
First vintage for this Chardonnay, Savagnin, Chenin, and Grenache Blanc blended cuvée, with vines planted in 2020: 1000 vines of each variety on the same parcel! Grown on clay-limestone soils with blue marl subsoil ("like in the Jura, so it's not crazy to have Savagnin!"). Hand-harvested, direct pressing, fermented and aged in concrete tanks, bottled at the estate in Spring 2023. Unfined, unfiltered, with just a micro-dose of sulfur at bottling.
Théophile Milan has slowly been taking over this celebrated estate from his well-admired papa Henri – pioneer of sulfite-free wine in Provence and friend of Claude Courtois .
