Papillon Rouge - 2022 - Théophile Milan
Domaine Henri Milan
Aromas of ripe strawberry, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, soft spices, and pepper... The palate is fresh with integrated tannins, a fluid texture, and evolving notes of menthol and black cherry. A beautiful, clean natural wine with depth and character, yet very approachable.

A blended cuvée of Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Niellucio from organically farmed vines planted between 1997 and 1999 on soils of limestone scree with red clays, totaling three hectares. Hand-harvested and naturally vinified: co-maceration of whole clusters of all three varieties, a short five-day maceration, and aged in concrete tanks for 5 months. Bottled at the estate in January 2023 without fining or filtration, zero added sulfur. It's the same juice as the Le Vallon cuvée but with less aging and no sulfur!
