Rhône Valley
A complex, expressive, beautifully intense wine with a nose of pear, beeswax, salted butter, and subtle mineral notes. The palate is round and mouthwatering yet chiselled, with a pure, white fruit finish. Decanting shortly before serving will reveal this wine’s full range of aromas.
A blend of 60% from the 2022 vintage and 40% from the 2021 vintage for this cuvée, still 100% Chardonnay, from Demeter-certified vines farmed biodynamically and planted on very chalky Miocene soil which is excellent at retaining water. Hand-picked grapes, a part of the harvest is directly pressed and 15% goes through a quick maceration, settling by gravity, then one year of maturation – half in vats and half in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled without fining or filtration, micro-dose of sulphur.
