Rhône Valley
Maximus - 2021 - Julie Rouffignac et Gérald Lafont
Domaine d'Arbousset

100% Mourvèdre from vines grown organically, planted on a plateau with pebbly soils. Manual harvest and meticulous sorting. Natural vinification: maceration of the whole clusters in open vats, gentle pressing, aged in two-year-old 600-liter barrels made by the same cooperage that makes the barrels for famous Clos Rougeard, in Loire Valley. Not fined or filtered, just a micro-dose of sulfur after malolactic fermentation. 800 bottles produced.
