Domaine des Accoles
A complex nose, with notes of raspberry and cherry, evolving into aromas of leather, pepper and liquorice. The palate is light and delicate, with exquisitely fine tannins, a long finish, and lingering notes of kirsch and cocoa. In the winemakers’ words: "fruit, elegance and precision".

100% Grenache Noir from 70-year-old biodynamically farmed vines, the oldest on the Domaine. The vines are planted on white, Miocene epoch limestone, which promotes slow, balanced ripening. Manual harvest. Vinification: 80% whole clusters layered with berries in a mille-feuille style, gentle maceration with only pump-overs. Aged two-thirds in old barrels and one-third in enamel steel tanks for a year, followed by an additional 18 months in enamel steel tanks. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, wit a sensible dose of sulphites.
