Pleine Lune - 2021 - Jean Delobre
La Ferme des Sept Lunes
A nose of ripe black fruits that were just picked in the sun, violet as always, notes of Tonka bean and black pepper, and a touch of strawberry jam. The palate is supple, with beautiful roundness, aromas of ripe fruit, and just the right amount of freshness for balance. Worth decanting.

A 100% Syrah cuvée from a single parcel of vines planted in the commune of Saint Désirat, on south-facing slopes of granite soils worked with horses. Vinification: the grapes are entirely de-stemmed, followed by three weeks of maceration in concrete tanks, with pumping over almost every day, then gentle pressing, and 12 months of maturation in 600-litre demi-muid barrels that have seen several wines. Neither fined nor filtered, and zero added sulphur. Matured in bottles at the estate.
