Le Pacha - 2022 - Jean Philippe Padié

Domaine Padié

A beautifully crafted Carignan, highly fruity with cherry and blueberry notes, evolving into a hint of forest floor. On the palate: mineral, fruity, juicy, showcasing the winemaker's touch! Bonus: "Le Pacha" is also a French film with a killer Serge Gainsbourg soundtrack!

Carignan from a parcel selection of old vines, 90% planted on limestone marl and 10% on schist. The vines are organically farmed with biodynamic practices and hand-harvested. Vinification: 15 days of whole cluster maceration, no pump-overs or punch-downs, in 27 hl concrete tanks. Gentle pneumatic pressing, aged in demi-muids and amphorae over winter, then blended and end of aging in casks. Bottled after light plate filtration, with just a micro-dose of sulfur.
