L'Espace Bleu entre les Nuages - 2018 et 2019 - Maya Sallée et Nicolas Fernandez
Domaine La Calmette
A great wine for gastronomy, highly concentrated with notes of blueberry, blackberry and fig, enriched by notes of cedar, sap and spices. A luscious palate, with a rich mouthfeel, yet also lively, mineralesque acidity that promises fine ageing potential. Decanting is highly recommended.

100% Malbec, a blend of the 2018 and 2019 vintages, from 37-year-old vines in conversion to organics, planted on a single 0.7-ha plot of reddish clay-limestone soil, facing east, surrounded by woods, above the village. The grapes are harvested by hand with crates, destemmed, and transferred to vats by gravity, followed by gentle maceration, and respectively 2 and 3 years of maturation on lees in barrels that have seen 2-3 wines, without sulphites. Bottled at the estate on September 10th 2021 without fining or filtration, and just 1 gr/hl of sulphur.
