Concentrated nose carried by notes of plum, blueberry, jammy blackberry, fig, sage, just a hint of vanilla... The palate is surprisingly very fresh and digestible, almost juicy (for a Cahors!), long and floral finish.

100% Malbec from 35-year-old vines, grown biodynamically, this cuvée is certified by Demeter. This is a plot selection at the top of the hills in Cahors appellation, at 350 meters above sea level, on brown clay soils from the Miocene era. Manual harvest and natural vinification. Total destemming, one month of maceration in vats, 9 months of aging in casks, without new oak. Bottled at the Estate without fining nor filtration, micro-dose of sulphur.

Fabien Jouves represents the golden generation of Cahors. This young and dynamic vigneron settled in 2006 on the highest slopes of Cahors, where he took over his family’s estate of 20 hectares.
