A blend of Merlot and Trebbiano from organically farmed vines planted on the same plot, with clay-limestone (Castillon limestone) and brown marl soils. Hand-harvested, with tiny yields of just 9 hl/ha. Natural vinification: whole-cluster co-fermentation for three weeks in concrete vats, very gentle pressing, then one year of aging—half in barrels, half in sandstone jars. Unfined, unfiltered, with just a micro-dose of sulfur at bottling (1 g/hl).
