A lovely nose, ultra aromatic. Palate: this is some tonic juice, with lots of freshness, and beautiful length. A clean, pure wine, boasting delicious intensity.
A 100% Mauzac cuvée, made primarily with Mauzac Rose, from 70-year-old vines, farmed biodynamically, certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter, and planted on a limestone plateau. All the vines are planted contiguously around the estate. Hand-harvested, naturally vinified, though Patrice keeps the details shrouded in mystery. Direct pressing, aged in old barrels. Bottled at the Domaine with just a micro-dose of sulfur.
Patrice Lescarret threw himself body and soul into this estate in the commune of Vieux, near Gaillac, in 1993.
