Familiar Mourvèdre - 2018 - Hardy Wallace
Dirty and Rowdy
A wild nose with notes of herbs, rosemary, cranberry, and musk... A juicy, velvety, dense palate, driven by black fruit flavours, and with a smoky finish. A bottle to uncork at the dinner table and enjoyed slowly (!) – this juice evolves in the glass in the loveliest ways.

A 100% Mourvèdre cuvée, from different parcels of vines planted in the counties of Monterey, Mendocino, Contra Costa, El Dorado and Amador in California. Created from wines selected from several individual barrels, with the goal of creating a sensory map of Californian Mourvèdre! The vines are farmed organically, with manual harvesting. In the winery: maceration and fermentation of whole clusters, with indigenous yeast, a little light foot treading, and a gentle pressing. No additives during vinification, and a micro-dose of sulphur at bottling.
