California
St Georges - 2018 - John Locke et Alex Krause
Birichino
Bold, intensely fruity nose—like diving into a jar of mixed red fruit jam! The whole is balanced and complex, with hints of oak and spice. Supple, warm, and generous on the palate, with melted tannins and a finish lingering on morello cherry.

Pinot Noir from the Central Coast appellation, planted in the Santa Cruz Mountains region of California and drawn from several vineyards: primarily the Besson Vineyard, supplemented by a small amount of grapes from the Lilo, Enz and Boer vine parcels, also in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Sustainable agriculture, controlled yields and harvesting by hand. Vinification: 30% whole grape bunches, a short maceration in concrete vats, with indigenous yeasts and only one racking, followed by gentle pressing, and maturation in concrete vats and barrels that have seen several wines. Neither filtered nor fined, with sensible use of sulphites.
