Notes of blackcurrant, black tea, dried prune... Perfectly structured on the palate, with supple tannins that highlight the fruit. Japanese precision in Médoc country. To be waited for if you have the patience, and decanting recommended in its youth.

A blended cuvée of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot from 40 to 80-year-old vines planted on clay-limestone soils, harvested by hand. Separate vinification of the two grape varieties, each 90% destemmed, low-temperature fermentation, little punching down, gentle pressing. Aged for one year in 500-liter barrels that have seen two wines. Blending of the wines after aging, bottled at the Estate in October 2023, without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur. Total SO2 < 25 mg/litre.
Osamu Uchida
Osamu Uchida, born of the 1977 vintage, grew up in Hiroshima but was educated in French culture from a very young age – his parents were wine merchants! He was barely in his twenties when he decided to head off to the land of Molière to immerse himself in French language… and wine! By the end of his first stay, it was the welcome he’d received from the many vignerons he visited that convinced...
